5 essential websites to book a cheap hotel

Today, I wanted to share my best websites for booking a hotel or room for your next trip. When I book my hotels, I always go through these 5 sites to get the best value/money. I hope it will save you time … and money!

Booking.com

 

 

 

It is very personal as a choice, as there are several (expedia.com, Hotels.com, etc.), but booking.com is really my favorite. First, their prices are almost always in the lowest when I compare with other sites. Secondly, their customer service is really excellent. If you need to make a change, they are always there to help you, and it works 9 times out of 10! Finally, reviews of rooms and hotels on booking.com are real, because to leave one, you must have stayed at the place in question before. So it’s much more reliable than TripAdvisor, where anyone can say what he likes about a hotel he does not even know.

Trivago

 

 

 

After visiting Booking.com, I go on trivago. I write down the name of the hotel I selected and check if, by chance, it would not be cheaper elsewhere. Sometimes it happens, and we can save a few dollars. It’s always better to keep $ 5 in your pockets than to pay for nothing, right?

Do you know this wonder? I LOVE the concept. You have to choose a city and a neighborhood, as well as a hotel range (2-3-4-5 stars). Then all we know is the price we have to pay. For example, we are told:   $ 60 for a 5 star hotel in the city and neighborhood, but we do not know the name of the establishment yet. Only when you make the reservation is the name unveiled! It’s like a surprise 🙂 I hate surprises, but when it saves me sometimes over $ 100 for a nice hotel, I love them. With Hotwire, I booked a 4-star hotel in Brussels for $ 100 CAD, and a 5-star hotel in Koh Samui with queen breakfast included for only  $ 62 CAD. I saved hundreds of dollars, because in Brussels, there is not much for 2 people down $ 100, believe me … In other words, Hotwire allows you to travel in luxury, even if you are rather poor!

You probably already know this website, but I use it when I want to change hotels, or when I think hotels are too expensive. This is the best platform to book rooms or even complete apartments, at very low cost, very often. Make the comparison to see what will be the best value for money! Also remember that when you rent an apartment, you save in restaurant fees, because you can cook small puffs directly at home!

C’est un site web basé sur le même principe que AirBnB. C’est notamment avec cette plateforme que j’ai réservé un petit appartement en plein cœur de Paris pour vraiment pas cher. Je préfère tout de même AirBnb lorsque j’ai le choix, mais si vraiment vous ne trouvez rien, HouseTrip peut s’avérer une bonne option!
